SugarSync for Android

After conquering other platforms — including iPhone, BlackBerry, Windows Mobile, PC and Macs — SugarSync is going Android, bringing its backup and sync service to the users of Google mobile OS-powered smartphones. The dedicated application is already available in the Android Market and here’s what we learn from the app’s description:

Use your phone to view, edit and share files stored on your computers (PC or Mac). SugarSync combines cloud backup, remote access, file sync, and sharing into one simple solution.

Includes a file manager to browse/upload local files; supports mobile photo uploads.

SugarSync comes with a FREE 2GB account – try it today!

Feature wise, SugarSync Mobile enables remote file access and browsing, local file management, on demand synchronization, shared folders, and also comes with “powerful photo features.”

As I don’t have an Android device myself, I haven’t been able to give it a try. But from what I can tell, it does sound promising…
